Cody Allen Shepperd, 25 of Huntington, passed away Friday May 28, 2010 at 6:20 pm at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was a 2003 graduate of Huntington North High School and had worked as a painter at WSI.
Cody was born October 2, 1984 in Huntington, the son of Christopher and Wanda (Downey) Shepperd, and they survive. In addition to his parents he is survived by a daughter Chloe Shepperd of Huntington, a brother Nicholas Ryan Shepperd of Huntington, grandmother Shelby Downey of Ormand Beach, Florida, 6 uncles Jerry Downey, Rodney Downey, Ricky Downey, Jason Shepperd, Mike Shepperd all of Huntington, Dave Shepperd of Marion, and an aunt Sundaye Hook of Butler, IN. He was preceded in death by grandparents Linda & Clayton Shepperd.
Visitation will be held Wednesday June 2 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Deal-Rice Funeral Home- Huntington Chapel preceding the 1:00 funeral service at the funeral home with Pastor Troy Mowrer officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Gardens of Memory.

I graduated with Cody. It's sad to hear that this happened. He was way too young. I keep the family and friends of Cody in my prayers.

I''m not sure where to begin, you were such an amazing person who could always put a smile on anyone''s face. My deepest thoughts and prayers go out to the survivors. For a parent to lose a child is the worst feeling in the world. I can not imagine the pain you are all feeling. But just know that Cody was an amazing soul and he will be remembered. Just please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help.
