Barbara Jane Searles, 65 of Huntington, passed away Sunday July 11, 2010 at 6:40 AM at Parkview Huntington Hospital. She was a graduate of Jefferson High School, worked at Memcor for 35 years and then at United Technology from 1999, retiring January 1, 2010. She enjoyed reading.
Barbara was born July 1, 1945 in Huntington, the daughter of Alva and Mildred Elizabeth (Buzzard) Searles. She is survived by 6 brothers Herb (Neysa) Searles of Lebanon, Gene (Pat) Searles of Warren, Glen Searles of Warren, Harold “Joe” (Peg) Searles of Lafontaine, Roger Searles of Lafontaine, Ray (Jane) Searles of Bluffton, and 3 sisters Mary Louise Anderson of Huntington, Mable (Robert) Burnsworth of Huntington, of Huntington, and Ruth (Maurice) Shenefield of Rochester, and sister-in-law Kim Searles of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by a sister Carlette Searles, a brother Carl Searles, and a sister-in law Wilodean Searles
Graveside services will be held Thursday July 15 at 11:00 am at Mt. Etna Cemetery with Pastor Tony Johnson of Mt. Etna United Methodist Church officiating.
