Faye "Lucille" Simmons, age 95, of Roanoke passed away Saturday February 20, 2010 at 8:10 pm at Norwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 13, 1915 in rural Roanoke the daughter of William and Mary (Lautzenhizer) Raichart. She married Galen Sherbahn and he died in 1943 then in 1953 she married Bernard Simmons and he preceded her in 1987. Faye was employed by Square D and also Triad-Utrad. She was a member of Pleasant Chapel United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

Faye is survived by two sons David (Carolann) Sherbahn of Roanoke, and William (Diane) Sherbahn of Huntington, a sister in law Dorothy Hickman of Avilla, IN. seven grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Tuesday February 23 and 1 hour prior to the funeral at Roanoke Memorial Chapel of Deal-Rice Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10 am Wednesday February 24, 2010 at Roanoke Memorial Chapel with Pastor Marvin Grooms officiating. Burial will follow in Old Lutheran Cemetery.
