Shane E. Johnson, 44 of Bluffton and formerly of Huntington, passed away Friday February 19, 2010 at 9:47 PM at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born Oct. 29, 1965 the son of Joretta (Sours) Johnson-Rivard and Robert Lee Johnson. Shane graduated from Huntington North High School with the class of 1984 and had worked for WSI and Indiana Oxygen; he enjoyed Nascar and especially enjoyed his grandchildren.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years Laurie L. Downey in Bluffton. Also surviving are three daughters Misty Sell of Bluffton, Dana (Matthew) Randall of Bluffton and Shantel Johnson of Los Angeles, CA. Seven grandchildren Donevan Randall, Alyssa Sell, Olivia Randall, Justice Randall, Madison Randall, Ethen Sell, Eli Sell, and three brothers Kim K (Vic) Johnson of Huntington, Paige D. ( CJ) Johnson of Huntington and Shawn L. Johnson of Orlando, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held February 23, 2010 from 12- 2 pm preceding the 2:00 pm service at Deal-Rice Funeral Home- Huntington Chapel, with Pastors Jeff Carrell and Troy Mower officiating. Burial will follow in Star of Hope Cemetery, Huntington.
