Donald L. Parker, age 75, of Huntington, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019, at 5:00 pm at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1962. He worked as a forklift driver at Majestic for 40 years, where he belonged to the Sheet Metal Union. He also worked at McDonalds. He volunteered for the American Red Cross and was an avid Colts fan.
Don was born September 10, 1943, in Hillsboro, Ohio, a son of Ernest H. and Eva Marie (Paul) Parker, He is survived by 3 sons Mitch E. Parker of Huntington, Roger A. (Laura) Parker of Warsaw, Troy B. (Loretta) Parker of Huntington, 12 grandchildren Jacob, Truby, Lizzie, Arizona, Jasper, Haley, Joey, Matthew, Elizabeth, Kristina, Mitchell, and Shayla, 3 great- grandchildren Avery Sky, Candy Sue and Carolyn, ex-wife Mayzona Parker, 2 brothers Lowell Parker and Denver Parker, and 3 sisters Ivy Parker, Ruthie Parker and Jean Parker. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Danny Parker and a brother John Parker.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 27, from 12-2 pm at Deal-Rice Funeral Home- Huntington Chapel, preceding the 2:00 pm funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Star of Hope Cemetery, Huntington.
