- About Us
Michael R. “Mike” Federspiel, age 51, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019 at his home. He graduated from Huntington North High School in 1986. He was owner- operator of Mike's Body and Paint, doing exceptional paint and auto repair work. He left that profession due to health worries from all the chemicals used. He started his machine shop, Assured Products, becoming very knowledgeable in CNC programming, production and repair in many areas.
He loved restoring his ‘79 Silver Anniversary Trans Am, and was restoring one for his beloved daughter. He loved life, riding his motorcycle, his many friends and a special bond with his brother Tim. His wit and sense of humor livened any gathering. He was a most wonderful son. He was a rock when we almost lost Steve & Tim, and a lifeline for Emma. He will be missed more than words can convey.
Mike was born April 11, 1968, in Fort Wayne, a son of Stephen and Susan (Shelby) Federspiel. They survive in Roanoke. Also surviving are daughter Emma Bushroe of Fort Wayne, brother Timothy Federspiel of Huntington, and maternal grandmother Florence Shelby Modricker of Fort Wayne.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 29 from 3-5 pm preceding the 5:00 pm service at Roanoke Memorial Chapel of Deal-Rice Funeral Homes.
Preferred memorials are to American Heart Association c/o Roanoke Memorial Chapel, 240 Crestwood Dr., Roanoke, IN 46783.
