Bronwyn M. Baker, age 74, of Andrews and formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020, at 9:25 am at Parkview Huntington Hospital. She graduated from Northside High School, Fort Wayne, earned her Bachelor’s degree from Taylor University, Upland, and her Master’s degree from St. Francis College, Fort Wayne. She taught at Fort Wayne Christian School and Twin City Nazarene School, Sterling, IL. She was a member of Calvery Evangelical Congregational Church, Hoople, IL. She was a choir director and accompanist, and enjoyed sewing and quilting.
Bronwyn was born February 20, 1946, in Lafayette, a daughter of Melvin P. and Mary Elizabeth (Woods) Hemmig. On June 8, 1968 she married her beloved husband of 52 years Eugene Baker in Fort Wayne and he survives in Andrews. Also surviving are 2 sisters Kimberly (James) Motter and Melanie Hemmig and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a nephew Aaron Smith and a sister Valerie Smith
Visitation will be held Friday, December 18, from 9-11 am preceding the 11:00 am funeral service at Bippus Calvary United Methodist Church. Pastor Barry Faucett will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Andrews.
