Frances J. “Janie” Myers, age 92, of Huntington, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 12:50 am at Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester. She had worked as a housekeeper at Huntington College. She was a member of Good Shepherd United Brethren Church and enjoyed working crossword puzzles.
Frances was born February 25, 1928, in Fort Wayne, a daughter of Ross and Aileen (Brown) Lancaster. On August 4, 1945 she married her beloved husband of 44 years Charles Howard Myers in Huntington. He passed away April 8, 1989. She is survived by a daughter Charlotte Myers of Huntington, 2 sons Edward Myers of Huntington and Howard (Joyce) Myers of Port St. Lucy, Florida, 3 grandsons Kent, Kurt and Charles Myers, and a sister Zouie Whitacre of Huntington. She was preceded in death by 2 sons Keith and Ronald Myers and 2 sisters Nancy Ward and Carolyn Crago, brother Roger Jones, and infant brother Robert “Bobby” Lancaster.
A graveside service will be held Friday, November 20 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
