Janet K. Kreienbrink, age 79, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 11:58 pm at Kindred Hospital, Lima, Ohio. She graduated from Churubusco High School and received her Associate in Business degree from St. Francis College. She was a domestic engineer. Janet was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Roanoke where she belonged to the Rosary Society and was a cook for the senior citizen meals. She also belonged to Women of the Moose in Columbia City and served as a Girl Scout leader and Boy Scout den mother. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, find-a-word puzzles and games on the computer.
Janet was born August 19, 1942, in Fort Wayne, a daughter of LeRoy and Dorothy (Sherbahn) Hickman. On April 28, 1962 she married her beloved husband of 59 years Jerry Kreienbrink in Huntington. He survives in Roanoke. Also surviving are two daughters Christine (Edward) Brames of Woodburn, and Marla (Stan) Bowman of Roann, a son Ronald (Ann) Kreienbrink of New Haven, 7 grandchildren Diana (Chris) Beard, Bryan (Lori) Bowman, Kathy (Stu) Luthe, Matthew Bowman, Elizabeth (Roberto) Melendez, Cindy Kreienbrink, James (Casey) Brames, 7 great-grandchildren Colton, Barrett, Anthony, Elena, Theo, Eli and baby girl to be born in April, and a sister Mary (James) Felger of Avila. She was preceded in death by two brothers Glenn Hickman and Von Fisher.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 31, from 2-4 and 5-7 pm at Roanoke Memorial Chapel of Deal-Rice Funeral Homes with a rosary service at 2:00 pm, Visitation will also be held Friday, April 1 from 9-10 am preceding the 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Roanoke. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Roanoke.
