Jean E. Redding, age 94, of Warren and formerly of Huntington, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 5:12 am at Heritage Pointe, Warren.  She graduated from Union Township High School and worked in accounting at Triad-Utrad (later Magnetek) for 28 years, retiring in 1992. Jean was a former member Evangelical United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, watercolor painting and adult coloring books.

 

Jean was born December 29, 1926, in Huntington County, a daughter of John and Lesta M. (Caley) Bartrom.  On June 9, 1946 she married her beloved husband of 42 years Richard J. Redding in Huntington.  He passed away October 9, 1988.  She is survived by a son Steven B. (Carolyn) Redding of Huntington, a daughter Michele R. (Gregory) Baxter of Indianapolis, a son-in-law Mark Potter of Indianapolis, four grandchildren: Brandon Baxter, Joel (Erin) Redding, Jeremy (Lao) Redding, Stephanie (Jonathan) Couch, a half- brother Dennis (Jennie) Kelly of North Carolina, and a sister Donna Mae Turner of Arkansas.  In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a daughter Cheri D. Potter.

 

Visitation will be held Friday, November 12 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm preceding the 1:00 pm funeral service at Deal-Rice Funeral Home- Huntington Chapel.  Pastor Zack Working will officiate.  Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory.
