Linda Sue Strodel, age 81, resident of Kentucky, and formerly of Tucson, Arizona and Huntington and Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 24, 2022. She was a graduate of Wheelwright High School and Purdue University. Linda cared generously not only for her family, but for many others through her career in nursing. She was proud of her years serving as a nurse in the US Army Reserve, as well as the many years spent caring for patients in hospitals and physician offices.
She is survived by daughters, Deema Romer (Chris) and Allyson Hall; sisters, Judy Davis and Jody Smith (Wes); grandchildren, Dylan Hall, Abigail Hall, Henry Romer, Joseph Romer, Paul Romer, Susan Bonta; great-grandson, Oliver Bonta. She is predeceased by her husband, Peter L. Strodel and her son-in-law John Hall. Her pets were always a special part of her family too, and she loved to spoil them.
She enjoyed many adventurous travels and even belonged, along with husband Pete, to a charter plane travel club for a while. Linda also enjoyed simple fun like meeting friends for her favorite Mexican food.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery 1710 South Jefferson Street. Huntington, IN.
