Russell E. Hale, age 67, of Huntington, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021, at 6:51 am at Parkview Regional Medical Center- Fort Wayne. He attended Huntington North High School. He worked in construction as a builder, then was a skilled machinist at Shaw Machine Shop for 10 years. He went on to work as a driver for City Beverage Brewing Company, then finished the last 11 years of his working career at Wabash Magnetics. He was an outstanding athlete. He was an avid NASCAR fan. Russell found great joy in hunting and fishing and being out in nature. He loved his family and friends and was a gentle soul.
Russell was born February 10, 1954, in Huntington, IN, to the late William H. and Ellen I. (Branstrator) Hale. He is survived by a daughter Jamie E. Hale of Port Orange, FL, 2 sons Nathaniel L. Hale of Huntington, IN, Cheyenne DC. Hale of Woodburn, IN, 4 sisters Bridget Hale, Veronica Holley, Kimberly Weaver and Bonnie (Jerry) Holbrooks all of Huntington, IN and a brother Robin E. Hale of Huntington, IN, 10 grandchildren, Madison, Mallorie, Kailey, Brayden, Xavier, Lillian, Elijah, Bella, Bjorn, Atreus, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 21 from 10 am to 12 noon at Deal-Rice Funeral Home- Huntington Chapel, preceding the 12:15 pm graveside service in Union Cemetery, Huntington.
