Sharon Kay Wymer, age 75, of Huntington, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2019 at 11:00 pm at Oakbrook Village, Huntington. She was a homemaker when her children were young, but her love of people led her to be an activities director at Lutheran Village, Fort Wayne, then a volunteer at Norwoods Health and Rehabilitation and Oakbrook Village. Sharon loved to sing and was a member of Charity Baptist Church.
Sharon was born February 1, 1944, in Huntington, a daughter of Michael Grant Craig and Marjorie (Clark) Craig Harris. On August 3, 1996 she married her beloved husband of 23 years Richard Wymer in Huntington, and he survives in Huntington. Also surviving are daughters Sherry Crispen of Bluffton, Dawn (Barry) Wilkins of Georgia, Jerri (Randy) Pearce of LaFontaine, Connie (Shane) Noonan of South Whitley, son John (Sabrina) Harney of Pierceton, step- daughter Jennifer Smith of Cromwell, step-son David Wymer of Colorado, brother Robert (Sue) Hethcote of Huntington, 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister Carolyn Jean Ploughe and a brother Rex Arlington Haneline, Jr.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 20, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Deal-Rice Funeral Home- Huntington Chapel, and Saturday December 21 from 12 – 1pm preceding the 1:00 pm funeral service at the funeral home. Pastor Wally Morris will officiate. Burial will follow in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Huntington.
