William “Bill” Ledgerwood, age 78, of Huntington, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at 3:45 am at Majestic Care of West Allen, Fort Wayne. He was a truck driver with Ledgerwood & Sons, National Oil and Gas, and Ormsby Trucking. He was a member of New Hope Ministry, Roanoke.
Bill was born January 20, 1943, in Washington, Indiana, a son of the late Elmo O. and Maxine E. (Thomas) Ledgerwood. On March 5, 2011 he married his beloved wife Pat Ashcraft. She survives in Huntington. Also surviving are a son Darren (Patti) Ledgerwood of Columbia City, a daughter Darla (Tracy) Gray of Washington, IN, 6 grandchildren Bradley Ledgerwood, Adam Ledgerwood, Tyler Ledgerwood, Chantal Byers, Shelby Evans and Tori Evans, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers Roger (Kris) Ledgerwood of Washington and Carl (Jeanie) Ledgerwood of Paoli, and 2 sisters Darlene (Bob) Hughes of Washington and June (Gary) Mattingley of Springville, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters Jean Charles, Doris Rice and Sue Freeman.
Visitation will be held Saturday April 3 from 12-2 pm preceding the 2:00 pm funeral service at Deal-Rice Funeral Home- Huntington Chapel. Pastor Jimmy Graham will officiate. Burial will follow in Star of Hope Cemetery, Huntington.
